You’ve tried relying on willpower or discipline, but it has only gotten you so far. Or, it’s something that has been around for so long that it seems like it’s so ingrained and is just the way things are now, even though it drives you crazy.
Do you ever:
Consistently stop at the drive thru, even though you don’t really want to eat fast food for dinner again?
Find yourself consistently in the break room at work at 3:00 looking for a snack, but you aren’t even hungry?
Order Uber Eats at night to get some ice cream because you don’t have any at home and you have to “scratch the itch” for the craving?
Find yourself in the kitchen late at night, which has just become what you do, but you have no idea why?
What if, in just one hour you could identify what’s been keeping you stuck? During this laser-focused session, we’ll work to identify what’s leading to this frustrating habit, get you unstuck and help move you in the right direction, no matter what you’ve tried before.
Cost: $300
"Before my session with Laura, I knew I wasn’t showing up at the level I wanted to in my life, especially at work. In the past, I’ve often procrastinated and avoided certain tasks, but I wasn’t sure how to move past these obstacles. With Laura’s support and guidance, I was able to identify why I’ve maintained these habits for so many years and have left my session with the tools I need to leave them behind for good. I no longer feel stuck, but rather confident and excited to take action toward my goals and live life on my own terms.
The Power Hour session is excellent for a curious, self-led individual who has done some self-observation, but could use little support to put all the pieces together. If you’re open to reflection and a little vulnerability, the results will be well worth it. I highly recommend Laura!"*
“Ever since I've had the epiphany moments during the Deep Dive, I've been able to integrate what I learned and drastically changed my behavior! I have also seen the scale budge for the first time in MONTHS!”*
“Going into the session I was hopeful but skeptical. We started out talking about the first step I could take towards reaching my goal and as I was talking about eating more vegetables (boring) I thought, ‘Am I really back here talking about fiber and veggies again?’
I was totally unenthused but then we made it to the story portion of the exercise and I felt a shift. I then remember thinking, ‘How did I start on vegetables and get to I’m not enough and crying?’”*
*Results may vary from person to person.

Amanda B.Many diets focus on what you can and can’t eat and some provide tactics to help you resist food or redirect your focus. But those tactics only help for so long! They tend to focus a lot on willpower and self-control and when you’re being good you’re succeeding, and if you slip up, you’re failing.
This session helps you break down the things you’re currently doing to help you work towards your goal and the things that are keeping you stuck. When you’re stuck with your health goals, it’s a symptom there is a competing commitment with your goals and it needs to be revised.
At the end of the session, you'll have clear steps to take to start implementing changes that will work for you and your lifestyle. You won't be told what to do, you will be the architect of the plan with Laura's support.
Some common habits discussed during Power Hour sessions include:
Eating when you aren’t hungry (e.g., snacking when stressed, bored, etc.)
Biting or picking your nails
Eating out more than you’d like to be
Not cooking at home, even though your refrigerator is full
Not exercising as much as you would like to
A routine that is no longer serving you, but you can’t seem to change (e.g., mornings or after work)
Inconsistency with personal hygiene (e.g., not brushing your teeth before bed, going to sleep with your makeup on, etc.)
There will be no judgment based on where you are. There are likely good reasons these habits keep popping up and we’ll dig in to figure out what’s leading to them and steps you can take to break them.
Results vary by client based on where they are in their journey and how open they are to the process. In this session, clients are typically a little skeptical at first but tend to leave feeling relieved, hopeful, and like they’ve made the right decision about trying a new approach. They end up learning something new about themselves and have more clarity as to what is leading to their stubborn habit. They typically feel empowered and motivated to start implementing some changes and feel like they have the tools to take action.
The cost of this session is $300. If you decide to sign up for a 3- or 6-month program afterwards, the amount paid will be applied to the cost of the program. At the end of the session, we will determine if you would like additional support. If so, we'll explore which program is the best approach for you based on where you’re currently at and the type of support that would be most helpful for you.
Sessions can be done over the phone or via Zoom. Regardless of how we meet, clients tend to get similar results.
If you have an FSA or HSA account, there is a good chance you can use it for this session. Clients have used their HSA/FSA credit cards and I can provide a receipt, if needed. Many plans reimburse for health coaching, but I recommend checking with your plan specifically for an exact answer.
