Something takes you off track. You tell yourself you’ll get back on the wagon tomorrow, but tomorrow comes and goes and you’re still aimlessly walking around your pantry binge eating on snacks when you aren’t hungry and you don’t know why.
You’ve tried every program, plan and fad diet and are searching for the next thing that will finally have lasting results. It’s confusing because everywhere else in life, when you put your mind to making a change, you’re able to do it. But why haven’t you figured out this “food thing” yet?
You’re not alone! This is a scenario many clients share AND it is possible to shift.
A decrease in your binges (both in intensity and frequency)?
A reduction in how much thought and effort goes into thinking and fighting food?
Clarity into the real reason you crave sugar and why it actually makes sense?
A shift in your relationship with food, so it doesn’t feel like you’re in a strained relationship with it?
You’ll be guided every step of the way with personalized support and accountability to help you break free from these old (and stubborn) habits so you can create lasting change.
Cost: $1,800 (payment plans also available)

"I would recommend Laura to anyone who has been trying to lose weight but has gotten stuck for some reason and is frustrated by their inability to move forward. Laura’s positive encouragement and thoughtful evaluation of what the underlying causes of my eating habits could be was very eye opening.”*
“Through my time working with Laura I regained my independence and removed myself from a toxic relationship. I was also able to identify what was derailing my progress and holding me in old habits that no longer suit me.
Overall, Laura has really helped me move forward and I have realized that I am stronger than I think. I recommend her for anyone struggling with weight or major life changes because you will identify things you never knew were holding you back!“*
“I started working with Laura because I wanted to feel more in control around food. Throughout the program I realized that I often accommodate others ahead of myself so I end up feeling depleted. I now feel more in control and aware of some of the issues I have around food. Overall I’m feeling less anxious because I’m more aware of my role/reactions and feel more in control of them.
I really like the “casual” approach to the sessions. Talking about and digging into the whys around eating and food is as important as nutrition and exercise. I recommend Laura to anyone struggling with many diets, have dietary issues or someone who notices they may binge or have irrational thoughts about food.”*
*Results may vary from person to person.
I don’t eat impulsively anymore and my late-night snacking is totally under control!
Anita K.In this program you won’t get more tools and tactics to try built around resisting food, which rely on willpower. Instead, we’ll figure out what’s actually leading you to turn to food to begin with. When you’re binge eating or stress eating and have an insatiable hunger, it’s likely that you don’t feel satisfied by the food, because it isn’t what you’re truly craving.
Once we identify what you really need, then you’ll no longer feel called to polish off the carton of Ben & Jerry’s. In fact, you’ll still be able to have ice cream in the house and will be able to just eat a little of it when you choose to.
The goal is to be able to have your “trigger” foods around and be able to enjoy them when and if you want them without having to white knuckle your way through.
I will support you to figure out why you “fall off track,” address what’s getting in the way of reaching your goals, and steps you can take that fit within your lifestyle to help you reach them.
What you won’t get in this program:
Meal plans
To be told what you can and can’t eat
Regular reporting on your weight
Counting calories
Following a rigid eating plan
Of, course, you can do any of those on your own if they work for you!
When people come to me, they’ve usually tried everything else but aren’t ready to give up. In fact, they choose to lean into the voice that says, “I know there is something more for me.” This is often accompanied by a readiness to be patient with results if they confidently feel they are on the right track.
Have you tried so many solutions like Weight Watchers or a juice cleanse and felt, ‘this time will be different?’ Then, after a few weeks or months, you realize ‘nope, in fact it isn’t different because my weight is still weighing me down.’
When this has been a consistent experience, there’s usually a combination of expansion and excitement (plus some nerves) at the idea of starting something new. Many clients find my approach resonates and they’re up for the internal challenge.
This program does not provide more tactics, like take a bath, or steps to upgrade your life – although you will. It won’t be all sunshine and rainbows like some coaches promise…and then when things get hard, they tell you that your self-limiting beliefs are holding you back when their approach doesn’t work.
Being comfortable won’t get anyone the results they really want, like freedom and agency with our body. Like anything meaningful in life, this will be challenging and rewarding. You’ll find that it’s not about willpower or discipline. The challenge will be, how can you be a beginner and stay curious, even when it’s really uncomfortable?
During this program, we will meet every two weeks for three months. You will receive email support in between the meetings in case you’re feeling stuck along the way and worksheets and/or homework will be shared as appropriate based on what additional support you may need.
Meeting every other week provides the accountability you may crave while also providing the space to process and digest what comes up in sessions. Your life is the classroom, so we use those experiences as data and information to guide our discussions.
Results vary by client based on where they are in their journey, how open they are to the process and the work they put in. However, many clients tend to:
Experience more ease around food by thinking about it less and naturally making the more nourishing and healthier choice.
More naturally eat in alignment with their healthy eating goals without having to resist food.
Feel relieved, hopeful and empowered by being able to identify the themes that are leading them to make unhealthy food choices. They tend to see a shift where they are more naturally able to eat in alignment with their healthy eating goals, without working so hard to resist food.
Feel more comfortable and confident in their bodies.
Take more risks in their lives and are no longer avoiding things they would have in the past. This can show up with new job/career opportunities, in their relationships, making a move to a new home, etc.
Create more balance in various areas of their lives, including with food and exercise.
Speak up more often for their needs in an authentic and genuine way that feels right for them. This leads to experiencing relief and more fulfillment.
This isn’t your typical weight loss program. Here, the emphasis isn’t solely on weight loss, and it’s perfectly acceptable to aspire to want to lose weight. Weight loss has become a highly charged topic these days, which I think is great because there’s a lot to unpack. However, if you do the work and make the process a practice so you’re consistent with eating healthy, you will likely lose weight.
My belief is that sustainable weight loss is a side-effect of sending physical and emotional safety signals to the body. Some may argue that this still aligns with diet culture, but I disagree. Sometimes our weight is a health issue (and sometimes it’s not). And sometimes weight is protective (and sometime it isn’t). I’m not here to tell you what you should do with your body. Instead, I’m here to support you to feel the best you can in your body and life.
By focusing on safety signals like sleep, physical pain, or stress, it helps us figure out what to do when. This approach not only enables us to feel great in our bodies throughout our journey, but also allows our body to come to a healthy resting place for each of our unique bodies.
While some clients lose weight, others stay the same. However, many clients who still desire further weight loss after working together will say, “I still have more weight to lose, but I trust it will happen without stressing about it anymore.”
Curiosity Calls are always free! “Power Hour” sessions are $300 and will be applied toward the cost of a program should you decide to enroll. Program prices start at $1,800 and vary based on their length. Payment plans are also available to fit within your budget.
During the Curiosity Call we will determine which program is the best approach for you based on where you’re currently at and the type of support that would be most helpful for you.
So many programs promise to be different but underneath they’re all different ways to give you a formula (often not based on research) or cut calories that creates more restriction, which only leads to eventual rebellion.
This is a process you can’t fail if you devote yourself to trying and learning how to understand your out of alignment eating. This program doesn’t require willpower in the traditional sense. In fact, imperfection is built in and is expected!
If you can commit to showing up when you feel imperfect, this process will work for you. There’s not a formula for success or failure here. This process meets everyone exactly where they are in their self-awareness and lifestyle. It’s the opposite of having a bunch of rules to follow that only fuel the battle and a sense of failure.
Sessions can be done over the phone or via Zoom. It’s really a personal preference and what works best for your lifestyle. Regardless of how we meet, clients tend to get similar results whether we meet in person or virtually.
If you have an FSA or HSA account, there is a good chance you can use it for our work together. Clients have used their HSA/FSA credit cards and I can provide a receipt, if needed. Many plans reimburse for health coaching but I recommend checking with your plan specifically for an exact answer.
